Richard Attenborough directs this biopic telling the story of Winston Churchill (Simon Ward)'s early years. Covering the young Churchill's childhood, his time as a war correspondent and his military experience in India and the Boer War, the film culminates with the future Prime Minister's first speech in the House of Commons. The all-star cast also features Anne Bancroft and Robert Shaw as Winston's mother and father, and Anthony Hopkins as David Lloyd George.
