Christophe LOINTIER & Patrick FRÉMEAUX Bruno Latour (1947-2022) was one of the defining thinkers of our time-a philosopher of scientific practice and a pioneer of symmetrical anthropology, an approach that places humans and the living world on the same plane of existence. This audio biography, based on interviews with Nicolas Truong, traces Latour's intellectual journey, from his Burgundian roots to his work at Sciences Po, from his involvement with the Centre for the Sociology of Innovation to his reflections on political ecology. Throughout these conversations, Latour sets out his method, discusses the thinkers who shaped him, and reflects on his doubts as well as his hopes, concluding with a deeply personal message to his grandson. In an implicit dialogue with Michel Serres and his The Natural Contract, Latour reminds us of the urgent need to invent new institutions capable of enabling humanity to inhabit the Earth responsibly. An essential audio document for anyone seeking to grasp the ethical and political significance of his work.
