Cantonese-language action thriller directed by Soi Cheang and set in 1980s Hong Kong. When undocumented refugee Chan Lok-kwun (Raymond Lam) arrives in Hong Kong from the mainland, he hopes to win enough bare-knuckle fights to pay for new paperwork. However, when he is double-crossed by ruthless gang leader Mr Big (Sammo Hung), he steals a bag of cocaine and flees into Kowloon Walled City.
Mr Big's men will not follow him there for it is under the control of Cyclone (Louis Koo), with whose crew Lok-kwun finds a home. The cast also includes Terrance Lau, Philip Ng and Richie Jen.
