Jason Statham returns to star in this sci-fi action sequel directed by Ben Wheatley. Five years after the events of 'The Meg' (2018), the talents of veteran deep-sea diver Jonas Taylor (Statham) are called upon once again when rumours begin to circulate of megalodon activity in the Mariana Trench. On their perilous journey to the location in a submersible, Taylor and his crew encounter an illegal mining operation which is scouring the depths of the Mariana Trench for rare minerals.
The crew behind the operation attempt to destroy the submersible to cover their tracks, unleashing chaos in the trench where, soon, a single megalodon becomes only part of a much bigger problem...
