Kôji Yakusho stars in this Japanese drama directed by Shôhei Imamura. Takura (Yakusho) murders his wife after finding her in bed with another man. When he is released from prison, he takes a job as a hairdresser in a quiet town and isolates himself from the rest of the community.
Seemingly content to spend the rest of his life alone, his routine is disturbed by a young woman who has her own demons to battle. The cast also includes Misa Shimizu, Mitsuko Baishô and Akira Emoto.
