Comedian Bill Dana became a 1960s pop-culture sensation with his creation of the sweetly lovable Jose Jimenez on The Steve Allen Show and The Danny Thomas Show. The tremendous success of the Jose character led to THE BILL DANA SHOW (NBC-TV, 1963-65), an Emmy-nominated situation comedy from executive producers Sheldon Leonard and Danny Thomas (The Dick Van Dyke Show). In THE BILL DANA SHOW, good natured but naive Jose Jimenez serves as a bellhop at New York's Park Central Hotel, managed by Mr. Phillips (Jonathan Harris, Lost In Space). Don Adams (Get Smart) portrays hotel detective Byron Glick, Gary Crosby is fellow bellman Eddie and Maggie Peterson (The Andy Griffith Show) is coffee shop waitress Susie. Among the classic television guest stars are Ted Bessel, Ruta Lee, Mark Goddard, Jack Albertson, Susan Seaforth Hayes, Charles Lane, Sue Ane Langdon and Danny Thomas. This complete series collection features all 42 episodes of THE BILL DANA SHOW in their entirety plus bonus material including original network promotional spots and a video interview with Bill Dana.
