The album made Selena the first Tejano artist to win the Grammy for Best Mexican American Album. All three singles from the album simultaneously held Top 5 spots on Billboard's Hot Latin Songs. This version features remastered audio and an unreleased live version of the song "Missing My Baby. "Selena LIVE se grabó originalmente el 7 de febrero de 1993 durante un concierto gratuito en el Memorial Coliseum de Corpus Christi, Texas. El álbum convirtió a Selena en la primera artista tejana en ganar el Premio Grammy al Mejor Álbum Mexican American. Los tres sencillos del álbum se posicionaron simultáneamente en el Top 5 de Billboard Hot Latin Songs.
