Catherine Laga'aia stars as the eponymous heroine in this live-action remake of the 2016 Disney animation. When the future of her peaceful island home is threatened, Moana vows to do whatever it takes to save her people. She sets out on a daring sea voyage to find the shape-shifting demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson) who stole the heart of Te Fiti, the goddess of nature, many years ago.
If Moana is to fulfil her destiny, she and Maui must restore Te Fiti's heart but as they traverse the ocean together, they encounter difficult conditions and dangerous creatures and soon, Moana discovers that Maui may not be the hero he proclaims himself to be.
