Pierre Coffin directs this animated comedy adventure which serves as the seventh instalment of the 'Despicable Me' franchise. In the 1920s, a tribe of Minions are in search of new villains to serve but when they interrupt the making of a silent film, they become Hollywood stars. However, because their language is incomprehensible to humans, they struggle to cope when silent films give way to sound.
Hoping to make their own film and recapture their previous success, they search for monsters to fight but instead find themselves at the centre of a plot to destroy the world. The voice cast includes Trey Parker, Allison Janney and Christoph Waltz.
