Orson Welles and Susan Hampshire star in this 1970s fantasy drama from director Harry Kümel. Young sailor Jan (Mathieu Carrière) comes ashore to locate his childhood home. However, during his search, he is kidnapped and awakens in a mysterious mansion amongst some familiar faces including his sister Nancy (Hampshire).
When they learn that their bedridden uncle Cassavius (Welles) plans to divide the mansion and its estate between his heirs, Jan and Nancy realise they have been trapped and must find a way out.
