Jack Smight directs this 1973 adaptation of the classic novel by Mary Shelley. Victor Frankenstein (Leonard Whiting) is training to become a doctor when his younger brother tragically drowns. Unable to understand why God would take away his brother, Frankenstein declares his allegiance now lies with the devil and is determined to bring his sibling back to life.
While studying anatomy, Frankenstein learns how to preserve dead matter and restore life. Working with Dr Henry Clerval (David McCallum), he sets out to achieve his ultimate goal of creating a human being, but this great discovery comes at a price. Jane Seymour, Michael Sarrazin and James Mason also star.
