We have been friends for 25 years after meeting each other on all kinds of metal events, we finally decided, by the end of 2018, free of all commitments from our respective bands, to launch the EXHORTED project. We are sharing the same musical tastes and the same objectives in terms of creation. By the beginning of 2020, the recording process started in stages (due to the covid situation) with the participation on drums of KEVIN PARADIS, well known for his work with BENIGHTED, while the bass, guitars and vocals were recorded in a professional studio. Mixing, production and mastering were entrusted to OLI BEAUDOIN (producer and former drummer of KATAKLYSM) for an optimal enhancement of the tracks.
"Old bastards never die" is a gargantuan death thrash metal album. The vocals are close to Loudblast or Bolt Thrower. Here is not only a continuity in the historical lineage of death metal, but also the monolithic and relentless side of Vader, especially in the drumming. We really like the bass on God Is Mine which "rumbles" perfectly. There are also a lot of modern sounds, oscillating between Loudblast, Vader, Kataklysm and a bit of Arch Enemy, it's a well balanced mix. Exhorted, it's massive and fast at the same time
