Saxophonist Dick Heckstall Smith had a major role in the British Blues boom in the 1960s, playing in the bands of Alexis Corner, Graham Bond, and John Mayall. In the late 60s he joined Colosseum, and ventured into the little explored territory at the time where Blues, Jazz and Rock meet. He also had a spell with Pete Brown's Battered Ornaments. In addition to doing session work he released a number of solo recordings. The album Woza Nasu bears an African influence, and received much critical acclaim. The album had something of a chequered release history, and has been previously released on Mainstream and Aura records. This version contains the original album plus a seven minute long track, 'Isa's', that was not included on the original album.
