Kris Kristofferson stars as the eponymous musician in this 1970s US drama set in Los Angeles. Former rock star Cisco Pike has turned to dealing drugs after falling on hard times, with no interest in his latest demo tapes. Desperately needing money of his own, corrupt cop Detective Leo Holland (Gene Hackman) blackmails Cisco into selling his stash of stolen marijuana in just 59 hours, leading Cisco to seek out his shady associates in search of quick sales.
