Lars Klevberg directs this reboot of the 1988 film of the same name starring Aubrey Plaza and featuring the voice talents of Mark Hamil. When young Andy (Gabriel Bateman) becomes frustrated when he is unable to fit in in his new neighbourhood, his mother, Karen (Plaza) buys him a doll from a new line of smart AI technology for the home and Andy names the doll Chucky (voice of Hamil). However, when Chucky begins to act strangely, Andy becomes suspicious of the doll and his worst fears are confirmed when Chucky starts to carry out violent acts with all evidence leading to Andy, instead.
Can Andy prove how dangerous Chucky is to the adults around him and find a way to stop the menacing doll before it's too late?
