The entire 1978 sci-fi saga. In the opening episodes, 'Saga of a Star World: Parts 1-3', the 12 colonial tribes of man are tricked by their mechanoid enemies, the Cylons, into attending a fake peace conference, where they are devastated by a powerful attack. The remnants of humanity, under the command of surviving council member Adama (Lorne Greene), set out as a convoy of ships led by the Battlestar Galactica in search of their legendary 13th colony: the Earth.

Adama is helped by his son, squadron fighter Apollo (Richard Hatch), daughter Athena (Maren Jensen) and dashing pilot Starbuck (Dirk Benedict) as he attempts to elude the pursuing Cylons, headed by their Imperious Leader.
