Recorded mainly at Barbeau's Auburn home studio, it darts from clipped new wave and jazzy piano balladry to Cocteau Twins-tinted psychedelia and deep P-Funk. Colin Moulding and Dave Gregory of XTC appear alongside Andy Metcalfe, Donald Ross Skinner and Terry Edwards. \"World Calls Love\" grew from a decades-old cassette fragment found while clearing Barbeau's childhood Sacramento house, while \"All Thru The Night\" was written during his final days there.
