Deniz Celiloglu stars in this Turkish drama co-written and directed by Nuri Bilge Ceylan. Samet (Celiloglu) is a teacher in a remote Anatolian village who dreams of moving to Istanbul. He lives with his fellow teacher Kenan (Musab Ekici), who is younger and more charming and good-natured than Samet, much to Samet's displeasure.
When Samet's favourite student accuses the two men of behaving inappropriately towards her, an investigation is launched. Meanwhile, Samet grows closer to Nuray (Merve Dizdar), a teacher in a neighbouring village, but becomes increasingly jealous when she too seems to prefer Kenan.
