The show follows young lab technician Emma Hedges (Windsor) as she returns to Dundee to begin working at the Scottish Institute for Forensic Science and Anatomy. She quickly clashes with her new boss, Professor Sarah Gordon (Fraser), over a textbook murder case with striking similarities to her mother's death.
Revisiting her past causes Emma to re-examine the case with help from her new colleagues, but can she finally solve the 18-year-old mystery of her mother's murder?
