Horror comedy directed and co-written by Gene Wilder, in which he also stars. Larry Abbot (Wilder) and Vickie Pearle (Gilda Radner) are murder mystery radio performers engaged to be married. However, Larry is suffering from panic attacks and his uncle decides to treat him with shock therapy to scare his fears out of him.
At his great aunt Kate (Dom DeLuise)'s mansion, Vickie is introduced to the rest of Larry's family, but as his uncle begins his treatment and Kate names Larry her sole heir, the situation turns dangerous. Soon they're living in a real-life murder mystery, only this time, there are werewolves...
