Children's double bill. In 'FernGully - The Last Rainforest', a young fairy named Crysta lives in FernGully, a rainforest under threat from the evil spirit Hexxus. When a giant machine begins clearing the forest, Crysta shrinks a young lumberjack named Zak down to her tiny proportions, thinking him to be in danger from the tree-eating monster.
In 'FernGully - The Magical Rescue', two kind-hearted humans join forces with fairies Pips and Crysta, the Beetle Boys and a mad bat called Batty to stop the kidnapping of the rain-forest's animals by ruthless poachers. Along the way they encounter many adventures and burst into song every so often.
