Feature-length continuation of HBO's Western TV series set in the violent and corrupt South Dakota town of Deadwood. Ten years after the conclusion of the show's third season, current and former residents of Deadwood reunite in the town in 1889 to celebrate South Dakota becoming a US state. However, violent clashes are sparked when California Senator George Hearst (Gerald McRaney) arrives in Deadwood seeking to purchase land from Charlie Utter (Dayton Callie), leading US Marshal Seth Bullock (Timothy Olyphant) to become involved in the deadly dispute.
