Spijt Is Iets Voor Later" is Racoon's first Dutch-language album. The album, which singer Bart van der Weide calls "very autobiographical", includes the singles "Het Is Al Laat Toch", "De Echte Vent", "Hee joh Jip" and "Geef Je Hart Niet Zomaar Weg". Singer Bart van der Weide had been thinking about making an album in his native language for years. "I discovered that Dutch is much easier to write than English. You have to hear it crackle, it has to remain completely pure. The result is, according to Bart, a "very autobiographical" album about family ties, masculinity and being satisfied with what you have.
