Portland's Quarterflash led by husband & wife Rindy and Marv Ross took the pop world by storm in the '80s. Even though Quarterflash harbors a definitive '80s-pop sound, the rich saxophone and sultry vocals of Rindy Ross give this average-sounding chorus-and-bridge rock a slightly distinct edge. Their music may best be described as Blue Eyed Soul meets Pop Rock. The song "Make It Shine" was included on The Gremlins soundtrack. "Take Another Picture" was the second album with the hit single "Take Me To Heart," which reached No. 14 on the US Billboard Hot 100. It also hit No. 6 on the Billboard Album Rock Tracks chart and No. 28 Adult Contemporary. The title track became the follow-up single, which reached No. 58 on the Hot 100. Album is produced by John Boylan and associate producer Marv Ross.
