In this book, renowned Penguin Guide to Jazz and BBC writer BRIAN MORTON explores Nina's life and career, as well as the making of this perennial jazz masterpiece, which contains such classics as Nina's renditions of "My Baby Just Cares for Me" and "I Loves You Porgy". The book is fully illustrated with classic, rare and never before published photos by such important jazz photographers as Herb Snitzer, Gilles Petard, David Redfern, Jack Robinson, and Ian Showell, among others.
