A native of Sidi Bel- Abbès, Mohamed Mazouzi left his mark on the 1980-90s generation, with numerous albums of raï, a musical style much appreciated in the western region and throughout Algeria. The nightingale of raï song was part of a golden generation of singers who enriched Algeria's cultural heritage with their artistic productions. His famous songs include Khalet Erjel, Walefha, Ouali Limrak, Ouma Nesmahchi, Djibmalia and Lah Yatik Shar. Cheikh Mazouzi put an end to his artistic career, marked by the production of several successful albums, a few years ago.
