Tom Hardy reprises his role as journalist Eddie Brock, the host of the alien symbiote Venom, in this action sequel written and directed by Kelly Marcel. Hunted by forces from both of their worlds, Eddie and Venom are forced to go on the run. Knull (Andy Serkis), the creator of the symbiotes, has sent a Xenophage after them, believing they hold the key to freeing him from his imprisonment.
Meanwhile, soldier Rex Strickland (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and scientist Teddy Payne (Juno Temple) are also seeking the pair. With the fate of the universe at stake, Eddie and Venom must make a difficult decision about their future. The cast also includes Rhys Ifans, Stephen Graham and Peggy Lu.
