Xolo Maridueña stars as the Mexican superhero in this action adventure based on the DC Comics character. Fresh out of college, Jaime (Maridueña) is looking forward to a bright future filled with endless possibilities. After he returns home to his family, however, his life is turned upside down when he encounters an ancient form of biotechnology resembling a Scarab beetle which latches on to him and makes him its symbiotic host.
Despite his initial reluctance, Jaime has no choice but to learn how to harness the enormous strength and amazing powers his new armoured exo-suit has given him, as he becomes the Blue Beetle.
