B.J. Novak writes, directs and stars in this comedy thriller as New York radio host Ben Manalowitz. When Ben learns that a woman from his past has died of an overdose, he embarks on the long journey to Texas for her funeral where he discovers that the deceased had led her family to believe that she and Ben were an item.
Not wanting to tarnish her memory, Ben goes along with the rouse until he is approached by a friend who believes she was in fact murdered. At first humouring his theory, Ben begins to wonder whether there could be some truth to the conspiracy and sets about investigating the evidence for a brand new podcast.
