Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore and Whoopi Goldberg star in this drama directed by Jerry Zucker. When banker Sam Wheat (Swayze) is murdered he remains on Earth as a ghost as he seeks to solve his murder and protect his grief-stricken partner Molly (Moore). Since he cannot communicate directly with Molly, he turns to fake medium Oda Mae Brown (Goldberg) for help.
However, despite Sam getting through to her, Oda Mae struggles initially to convince Molly that she really is in contact with Sam and that her life is in danger.
