Horror starring Christopher Lee and Boris Karloff. Concerned by the disappearance of his brother, Robert Manning (Mark Eden) follows the trail to an eerie mansion inhabited by Squire Morley (Christopher Lee) and his niece Eve (Virginia Wetherell). The decadent celebrations Robert witnesses in the house commemorate the demise of Lavinia (Barbara Steele), a witch who was burned alive in 1652.
With the help of witchcraft expert Professor Marsh (Boris Karloff), Robert discovers the role one of his ancestors played in Lavinia's death. More disturbingly, he also learns that Lavinia's vengeful spirit is still at large.
