Crime drama directed by Joseph M. Newman and starring Edmond O'Brien and Joanne Dru. Telephone technician Mal Granger (O'Brien) is recruited by gangster Vince Walters (Barry Kelley) to help expand his business, which is a front for an illegal bookmaking operation.
Given a taste of criminal life, Granger's wily attitude sees him soon making big money and rising up the ranks of the organisation.
